2 hearts in knot

V044

And she did it again!! Yup! Another simple card design for your view today hehehe! Sorry,  I just couldn't help myself....my brain has not been able to come up with complicated designs lately...hehehehuhuhu. ;P

Again......with this design, I experimented with a new clear stamp that I bought together with the clear stamp that I used to make the Solitaire Heart yesterday. I really love this clear stamp. It reminded me of my childhood days when I learned to play the piano. Everyday I had to read these similar music notes and practice playing the piano at home. It's been years since my fingers last touched the keys on the piano. Yup...I do miss playing it.

I didn't use any quilling technique for this one. I just added those red foam hearts at the sides of the knotted black ribbon and decorated them with silver glitters and tiny white hearts. And it's done. All done in just a few minutes! ;) Woohooo! Fun!

I must say that this is the simplest card I've ever made in my history of card making! LOL! :D Well....close. Perhaps there were other designs I've made in the past that were simpler but I've forgotten already. Don't blame me if I forget these things....it happens sometimes hehehe.....perhaps I need to eat more Omega-3 supplements for better memory! ;)

I've been on my "experimenting mode" lately.  Experimenting with my new clear stamps hehe. I bought some new ones recently and I've been wanting to try them out. And this is just one of the experiments that I'm loving at the moment. As you can see from the photo above, what I did was I stamped on the red card stock using a script writing clear stamp with black ink. I stamped it a few times to get that effect on the whole  front page of the card. In other words, I sort of decorated the empty card stock with the script writing stamp all over it.

Then, I just lined a black ribbon at the side of the card and glued a medium sized colourful quilled heart at the bottom of it. Simple right? It's a quick and easy way to make a card if you are in a hurry! hehe! :)

CardMaker Magazine + Card Giveaway!

Ann Martin from All Things Paper is doing a giveaway this month! Yay! And I'm joining it! Yup! It's just too good to miss....so I'm entering it to try my luck! I love what she is giving away too.......it's a handmade quilled card she created and a card magazine. It's the only American magazine that features quilling in it and offers a variety of quilling techniques in it too.

The card is so cute! Especially the 3 little chicks she made using the rick rack ribbons. That's a very cool idea! :)

The giveaway ends this Thursday 6th of January. So there is still time for everyone to enter it. I hope I'll win it! hehe! Wish me luck! ;)

Check out this link HERE if you wish to enter it too! ;)

Giveaway prizes posted!

Phew! I'm so happy today coz all the giveaway cards are done and posted! Well to be honest I only posted 10 prizes today to 10 of the winners because I only managed to get only 10 of them to contact me back  so far with their particulars. I'm still waiting for the other 2 winners to reply my message.

I can't believe that it's over.........the giveaways has come to an end. No more after this.  Felt a little sad all of a sudden huhuhu. Oh well.....it had to end one day. Hopefully someday I'll do it again when the timing is right hehehe.

I must say I love the stamping part! Stamping the wordings inside the card was fun! haha! Super easy of course. :D

I hope all the cards will arrive to all the winners safely.......I would hate it if any gone missing in it's journey to it's destination. There has been cases before where things like that happened.....so, I'm praying that  for this final giveaway all will be running smoothly.

So I guess this is it.................bye bye giveaways......till we meet again in future. ;)

Foam hearts

I love heart shapes........ :). Be it in the form of beads, sequins, buttons, felt, or foam! I just love them! Don't you? ;)

The photos above are the foam hearts I cut out by hand from the colorful foam sheets I bought. I have them in a variety of colors.......red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, cream....and even in black and brown :).

You can use these heart shape foams as embellishments on your handmade cards, frames, scrapbook, boxes etc etc......up to your imagination! :) These foam hearts can be decorated with glitter glues, metallic pen or sequins on it.....plus many more ideas. It's such a flexible material. You can glue it on paper using white glue or even UHU.

Thinking of selling them actually. Wondering if anyone would be interested to buy them from me heheheheeh! Anyone?? You can purchase them in a variety of colors or you can choose what color you prefer and how many you pieces you like buy. Email me if you are interested! ;)

Preparing the prizes

The results of my December 2010 blog giveaway were announced yesterday afternoon and today I'm in the process of completing the prizes for all the 12 lucky winners. :)

I managed to quill all the parts for the cards, i.e the head and body of the birds, the branch and the leaves. They are now just waiting to be arranged on the cards. Can't wait to get them all done and posted next week. ;)

One valuable lesson I've learned from doing all these giveaways last year is that I get to practice making the same card design over and over again hehehe.......kinda feel like a factory sometimes hehehe......but of course when it comes to handmade products, you can never get them to look EXACTLY the same. There will always be something different here and there. It's inevitable.

Hope to get all the cards done by tonight! Wooohoooooo!!!!
